Constituent Programs

About

The Constituent Programs (CP) group works at the intersection of operational excellence, advancement strategy, and One Berkeley collaboration. Led by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Constituent Programs, CP works with development leadership in schools, colleges, and auxiliary partners across campus on the following:

  • Strategy setting
  • Building philanthropic culture and community
  • Optimizing organizational performance
  • Reaching philanthropic goals

The Constituent Programs Group comprises three teams: Campaign Planning, Communications & Outreach, and Prospect Development.

What We Do

  • Consult with campus chief development officers and deans on advancement strategy and building philanthropic culture
  • Support units in meeting their campaign goals–including, but not limited to, administrative support, collaboration on projects, and project management
  • Foster collaborative fundraising and a donor-centered culture of philanthropy at Berkeley through full-service internal communications and community building across the campus advancement enterprise
  • Support the philanthropic success of principal, major, and leadership annual gift officers by identifying, researching, and advancing donors through the solicitation cycle 
  • Provide comprehensive advancement services to the College of Letters & Science (L&S), including fundraising strategy, stewardship, donor engagement, volunteer management, and communications
  • Connect and support campus advancement staff with resources offered by UDAR
