Michelle McClellan (she/her/hers) is the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) of Constituent Programs (CP) for the University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) at the University of California, Berkeley.
The Constituent Programs group works at the intersection of operational excellence, advancement strategy, and One Berkeley collaboration. The team works on strategy setting and building philanthropic culture with development leadership in eighteen schools, colleges, and auxiliary partners across campus, with a strong partnership with the College of Letters & Science (L&S).
Michelle started her UC Berkeley career at the College of Engineering, focusing on major gifts and working with corporate partners. Prior to her return to UC Berkeley in 2008, Michelle was the Chief Development Officer at the California Academy of Sciences, overseeing its $500M capital campaign. Before joining UDAR in early 2017, Michelle served for over seven years as the Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations at the Haas School of Business.
She holds a BA in Comparative Literature and Spanish from the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
