With the guidance of Chief Alumni Officer Jay Dillon, we partner with the Cal Alumni Association, Schools and Colleges, Career Engagement, Admissions, Athletics, Student Affairs, Equity & Inclusion, and other campus units. The Office of Alumni Relations coordinates a highly integrated, campuswide engagement program that deepens UC Berkeley alumni involvement while embracing Cal’s fundraising priorities.
- Lead the development and planning of campuswide alumni engagement strategy and initiatives.
- Coordinate events and alumni programs across the university enterprise, including all colleges, schools, departments, the library, Cal athletics, and units.
- Collaborate with the independent Cal Alumni Association to enrich the lives of alumni.
- Administer the My Berkeley Alumni Portal(link is external), which offers Cal alums access to a comprehensive mentorship platform, opportunities for student connections, and an alumni directory.
- Manage UC Berkeley’s International Alumni Network, including alumni clubs and regional representatives around the world, and support international alumni engagement opportunities.
- Engage historically marginalized alums with each other, students who hold similar identities, and the university through communications(link is external) and culturally relevant programming.
- Connect alumni entrepreneurs to campus and each other and provide meaningful philanthropic opportunities through the Berkeley Founders’ Pledge(link is external) website.
- Deliver online opportunities that open the intellectual rigor of Cal to alumni learners and readers via a virtual book club(link is external) and select courses(link is external) on UC Berkeley Open Learn.
