Jay Dillon

Dr. Jay Le Roux Dillon (he/him/his) is the inaugural Chief Alumni Officer of Alumni Relations in the University of Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) department at the University of California, Berkeley.

The Office of Alumni Relations is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the university's campuswide alumni engagement plan. This team of professional staff coordinates alumni engagement programs and strategies across the UC Berkeley enterprise, including the colleges, schools, departments, library, Cal athletics, administrative units, and the Cal Alumni Association, with the goal of deepening alumni involvement and increasing philanthropy.

Jay previously held similar roles at the University of San Francisco (USF) and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has served on the faculty of eight CASE institutes and hosts the Alumni Engagement Community of Practice Webinar series. Jay's research and publications focus on "Alumni Identity"  a new approach to measuring engagement and predicting philanthropy through the lens of social psychology and data science. He holds an EdD in organizational leadership from the USF and an MM and BA in music from UCLA. Jay is a redhead and a father of two.
