About
The Principal Gifts & Strategic Initiatives team (PGSI) works with campus partners to build and sustain lifelong, multi-dimensional relationships between principal gift ($5 million or more) donors and UC Berkeley. We are a resource for members of the campus community and principal gift donors to advance transformative philanthropic partnerships. Through our work, we help the world's leading philanthropists to realize their visions and make UC Berkeley's aspirations possible.
In addition, the PGSI team leads campus development for two ambitious multi-disciplinary initiatives and creates innovative models for donor stewardship:
- UC Berkeley Brain Initiative: Breakthrough interdisciplinary research to understand and overcome the greatest challenges in brain health
- Innovative Genomics Institute: Exploring cutting-edge genomics tools to solve our world's most pressing challenges
- Stewardship: Partnerships within UDAR and with campus partners to create custom, personalized experiences for our donors, building on the great work DGS does all year round
