The Major Gifts team focuses on securing philanthropic support among university alumni, parents, and friends across a range of geographical regions and, or affinities. While interested in donors and potential donors at all levels, we are keen to build support for UC Berkeley by raising gifts from $100,000-$2,000,000.
What We Do
- We follow a donor-centric ethos and are eager to learn about our donors’ and potential donors’ philanthropic passions and what they value most about UC Berkeley. Geographically, our regional focus areas include the Los Angeles area, broader Southern California, the greater Bay Area/Northern California region, the New York metropolitan area, and the greater East Coast, including Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston, and Baltimore. By affinity, we also focus on alumni who identify as innovators and entrepreneurs and various diverse constituencies that are part of the Cal family
- The Major Gifts team works closely with fundraisers across the campus and within university Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR). We create meaningful engagement and giving opportunities for increasing leadership-level philanthropy for UC Berkeley
