The Vice Chancellor of University Development and Alumni Relations works to increase support for the university and enhance understanding of its mission through public outreach and fundraising.
In addition to overseeing the university’s central development offices, the vice chancellor works with academic units, athletics departments, and arts organizations across campus to facilitate a collaborative approach to building support for the university.
What We Do
Secure private support from individuals, corporations, and foundations by building long-term relationships, which are nurtured by careful cultivation and principled stewardship.
Secure public support by enhancing the positive image and institutional presence of the university through various media, through the building of relationships, and by communicating messages of the campus leadership.
The vice chancellor also serves as president of the UC Berkeley Foundation(link is external)(link is external) (UCBF), a not-for-profit corporation that raises, invests, and administers donations to the campus.
