Nancy Lubich McKinney

Nancy ’82 began her advancement career in 2004 as UC Berkeley’s director of stewardship. Since then her responsibilities have increased incrementally, and she’s now responsible for gift agreements, gift acceptance, gift processing, gift accounting, donor acknowledgment and recognition, stewardship reporting, compliance, data management, institutional reporting, data analytics, technology, talent management, budgeting, business operations, and facilities. She is a past president of the Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP).

Prior to her advancement career, Nancy had an 18-year career at Bank of America that spanned internal management consulting, credit risk management, and procurement. In the 1980s she led the bank’s exploration of applications of artificial intelligence.

Nancy is a product of the University of California. She earned her MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), her undergraduate degrees in math and business from UC Berkeley, and her parents met at work at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She’s been an active alumni volunteer at UCLA, Cal, and her high school and has served on the boards of the Cal Alumni Association and Haas Alumni Network.

Nancy is a third-generation native San Franciscan. She collects fine art photography, purple art glass, hand fans, biographies of the first ladies, and cookbooks.
