Matthew (Matt) Weaver (he/him/his) serves as Executive Director of Gift Services within the Advancement Operations in the University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) department at the University of California, Berkeley.
Gift Services is the delegated authority to record and receipt all charitable contributions to UC Berkeley and the UC Berkeley Foundation. In partnership with our advancement colleagues throughout campus, they record and receipt gifts in compliance with university policies and federal regulations, in accordance with donor intent, while ensuring the security and confidentiality of donor data.
In his role, Matt is responsible for directing the strategic vision and sponsoring initiatives that improve the giving experience, process efficiency and overall data stewardship. Before joining UDAR in Fall 2017, Matt spent seven years in a financial leadership role supporting the Berkeley research enterprise.
