Howard Heevner

Howard Heevner (he/him/his) is the Executive Director of Annual Programs. He oversees Annual Giving, Pipeline Development, and Parent and Family Philanthropy in the University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) department at the University of California, Berkeley.

With more than 20 years of higher education fundraising experience, Howard has held several roles. He was the Assistant Vice Chancellor of University Development Programs at the University of California, Santa Cruz, the Director of Annual Giving at Penn State University, the Director of Annual and Special Giving at DePaul University, and the Associate Director of Annual Giving at the University of Michigan. He began his career in development at the University of Iowa.

Howard has been a regular speaker at CASE conferences throughout his career and served on the CASE District VII board. Once upon a time, Howard performed on the main stage at Second City in Chicago. He lives in Oakland with his wife, daughter, two dogs, and three chickens.
